Builds and applies a structured change management methodology and
leads related activities including, but not limited to, the
following activities:
Assesses impacts of proposed changes
Completes change management assessments
Crafts change management strategies
Consults and coaches project teams on planned changes and how to
manage those changes
Crafts actionable resources for communications, training,
sponsorship, and key partner management
Engages and supports senior leaders in their role as sponsors of
change by growing leadership consensus through information findings
and change management knowledge
Coaches managers and supervisors on how to manage change and act as
sponsors of change
Integrates change management activities and tasks into project
plans
Evaluates and ensures the impacted community is ready for
change
Defines and measures success metrics to ensure change is welcomed
and adopted
Tracks and reports issues through the course of a change
May lead a team of org. change managers engaged on a specific
project effort

THIS POSITION IS PROJECT FUNDED UP UNTIL JUNE 30, 2027. BUDGETS
WILL BE REVIEWED ON A YEARLY BASIS IN ORDER TO REQUEST ADDITIONAL

Salary: $115,000 - $120,000

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Please ensure your resume includes any and all relevant experience

meet all minimum requirements listed at the time of application to

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher
education, or equivalent professional experience (professional
experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a
year-for-year basis)
Four (4) years' experience in an organizational change management
role, which must include:
Project management experience
Experience developing communication and change strategies for
change initiatives
Formal certification in industry-standard change management
methodologies (e.g. Prosci, Kotter, Association of Change
Management Professional's Standard for Change Management)
Occasional travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
Six (6) years' experience in an organizational change management
role, as indicated above
Advanced degree in business management, organizational development,
or similar
Prior experience working with or in government or an institution of
higher education
Consulting experience on large-scale, transformational projects
OCM experience implementing ERP solutions with large audiences
OCM experience in rolling out data governance processes and
tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Organizational Change Management processes and
standard methodologies
Knowledge of project management processes and lifecycles, including
familiarity with the Project Management Institute's Project
Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
Knowledge of Agile processes
Presentation skills to articulate messages to a variety of
audiences
Organizational skills to set and meet goals, manage appointments
and time commitments, create schedules, coordinate and facilitate
meetings, and make decisions

. University Information Services (UIS) provides technical services

This position resides within the Program Management Office (PMO) in

individuals.The Principal Organizational Change Manager is
responsible for ensuring that projects and change initiatives meet
objectives by growing adoption and usage of new and improved
technology tools, business processes, and organizational
structures. This role focuses on the people-side of change with a
primary emphasis on crafting and implementing change management
strategies and plans related to people, process, and technology
tool changes at the University of Colorado (CU). The Principal
Organizational Change Manager works closely with departmental and
campus leadership, faculty, governance structures, system-wide
partners, and organizations to understand the environment and needs
associated with change plans and impending work updates. This role
will actively build and implement plans for formalized change
management initiatives, as well as establish informal relationships
with peers across the CU. The POCM is typically part of the project
leadership team and a trusted advisor to the project sponsor
coalition.This position reports to the Assistant Director of
Organizational Change Management (OCM) and is exempt from the State
of Colorado Classified System.
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule, working most
days from home and occasionally one day a month in office,
dependent on business needs. Therefore, ideal candidate will be
local to Colorado.
