Job Description Job Description Denver, Colorado Hybrid 4 days onsite Salary Range $100,000 to $120,000 A VC backed, high growth home business services company is seeking its first dedicated Accounting and Finance hire to support the next phase of growth. This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up, operating in a fast paced environment, and owning the full accounting function end to end. This position will be based in Denver, Colorado and requires four days per week onsite. Role Overview This individual will take full ownership of the company's accounting operations while developing the foundation for future FP&A support. The business operates with significant complexity including manufacturing, inventory, multiple revenue streams, high transaction volume, multi state operations, and a technology platform. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is proactive by nature, and is excited by the opportunity to help scale a growing organization. Key Responsibilities Own the full cycle accounting function including month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Manage revenue, expenses, inventory, cost accounting, and multi state operations Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with GAAP Partner closely with leadership to provide financial insights and reporting Help build and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A initiatives as the function evolves Work cross functionally with operations, contractors, and leadership teams Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience with a sweet spot of 5 to 7 years Experience in both public and private accounting environments preferred CPA strongly preferred Background in a highly complex business environment such as manufacturing, product based companies, or multi revenue stream organizations Experience in fast paced, high growth startup environments is ideal Must have full cycle accounting experience and exposure across all areas of accounting Candidates with experience limited to only revenue accounting, technical accounting, or expense accounting will not be considered Hands on, self starter mentality with the ability to operate independently Experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not required Why This Role Be the first dedicated Accounting and Finance hire in a VC backed organization High visibility and direct impact on the company's financial foundation Opportunity to grow into broader finance and leadership responsibilities Work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with strong growth potential
