Water Process Engineer - Product Manager (Pressure
Filtration)
Water Remediation Tech LLC is currently seeking an experienced
Water Process Engineer - Product Manager (Pressure Filtration) to
join our team in Westminster, Colorado (80234).
Job Summary:
The Product Manager leads the engineering, design, sales and
marketing strategy, and technical sales support for the pressure
filtration product line, coordinating all technical aspects of
selling the product. The Product Manager reports directly to the
Applications Engineering Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned by management.
Review project inquiries and make determinations regarding
equipment and process design to meet application.
Generate proposals. This requires the following tasks, duties, and
responsibilities,
Review site data form, equipment design, and project
information
Generate project budget for review.
Generate cost sheet to match scope of supply.
Contact necessary vendors with requests for quotes on non-standard
items or items with highly variable pricing.
Generate proposal package for review. Each proposal package may
include:
Company overview
Process/product overview
Scope of Supply
Typical drawing of system/Process Flow Diagram
Additional information as requested by customer.
Standard Terms and Conditions
Review project plans and specifications provided by engineering
consultants.
Determine strategic responses that put WRT in the most favorable
position.
Write feedback and questions in response to the Engineer.
Support sales staff on technical and applications questions and
issues
This requires strong phone skills and availability to receive and
promptly return phone calls, as well as periodic field visits,
training and sales calls to potential clients and consulting
engineers accompanied by appropriate regional sales personnel,
Loprest Sales Manager, and regional reps.
Work with the sales team to generate documentation for internal
kick-off meetings.
Support the Engineering department on sold projects.
Convey information, design philosophy, and strategy used during the
initial stages of the project.
Review P&IDs
Support for sold projects.
Create "Design Basis"
Create equipment lists.
Answer technical questions regarding process, design philosophy,
and component selection.
Participate in specification review meetings.
Participate in design review meetings.
Develop and maintain costing/pricing models with current
information.
Work with sales staff to develop sales and marketing materials.
Document and organize design basis of technology and answers to
frequently asked questions.
Develop and maintain standard documents.
Current typical specifications for standard products and
offerings
Where possible, find ways to write specifications that put WRT in
an advantageous competitive position.
General arrangement drawings, process flow diagrams, and any other
drawings for standard products and offerings.
This requires working directly with engineering, marketing, and
others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and market
appropriateness.
Oversee pilot studies.
Write (and/or review) pilot study descriptions.
Operate pilot units and/or train field engineers or applications
engineers in their operation.
Write (and/or review) pilot study reports.
Contribute to special projects, new product development and other
business opportunity development that may arise.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal water industry or
related field.
Experience with filtration and ion exchange drinking water
treatment processes is a strong plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings, General
Arrangement drawings, etc.
Have exposure to project plans and specifications, pricing,
quotations, and proposals typical of the water industry.
Strategic thinking about the competitive landscape
Strong direct communication skills.
Attention to accuracy and detail.
Advanced organizational and planning skills
Ability to work on multiple projects during the same timeframe.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to manage dividing responsibilities amongst self,
Applications team, Engineering team, R&D, Field Service, and
Project Managers
Self-starter with the ability to work independently to accomplish
business objectives and meet specific timelines.
Computer proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, ACT!
Compensation and Benefits:
100k to 115k salary based upon the qualifications.
