Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/27/2025 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CO or compact RN license and certifications in BLS, NRP, and EFM. Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Required to work 6 to 9 weekend shifts within a 6-week period On-call is required when placed on low census or census changes Floating may be required to any facility within a 60-mile radius or designated float zone, which may include duties outside original assignment requirements EPIC EMR is used and experience is required Responsibilities include patient assessments, implementing care plans, performing therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, and patient and family education Nurses must delegate appropriately and work collaboratively within inter-professional teams Mandatory flu vaccination required from November 1 through March 31 unless a physician-signed medical exemption is provided; religious exemptions are not accepted No local travelers allowed; must live at least 60 miles from the facility Returning travelers may not remain on assignment beyond one calendar year from the initial start date and must observe a break before returning Professional dress code and scrubs required in accordance with unit policy Requirements Active CO or compact RN license is required at the time of consideration Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred American Heart Association BLS certification required Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN certification required Minimum of one year Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred Must provide copies of all active certifications for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615832.
