Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg/Tele position requiring a CO or compact license and AHA certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the float pool across Med/Surg and Telemetry units - Float assignments may be required at any facility within a 60-mile radius or designated float zone - The patient population consists of adult medical and surgical patients, including those on telemetry - 12-hour night shifts with a schedule of 3 shifts per week - Uses Epic EMR for charting; experience preferred - Must demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection - Accountable for collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Flu vaccination is required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31); medical exemptions allowed with physician documentation, no religious exemptions - Not open to local candidates within a 60-mile radius - Expected to educate patients and families, and adapt care to cultural and individual needs - Delegation to non-RN staff is in accordance with state and hospital policies - Works within an interdisciplinary team and may precept or mentor new staff or students /n /n Requirements/n - Active CO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration - American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred - At least one year of relevant RN experience preferred - Must reside more than 60 miles from assignment location /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-627615.
