ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med
Surg for a travel nursing job in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Job Description
& Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights
Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Rehab Job Details: • Work
3-12 hour shifts with self-scheduling opportunities • Nurse to
patient ratios of 1:4-6 depending on census (typically 2 nurses
scheduled unless census is above 12) • Required to work 4 weekend
shifts in a 4 week period • Will be expected to cover holidays if
needed • On-call requirements for low census or extra shifts •
Floating requirements on rotation to inpatient medical
oncology/telemetry/surgical ortho • Required certifications: BLS
Certification and NIHSS • One year of medical or rehab experience
required • BSN not required • Navy blue scrubs with logo required •
2-12 hour shifts orientation - will follow therapist to check off
on transfers • Care for patients with strokes, hip fractures, brain
injuries, orthopedic fractures, back surgery, diabetes, respiratory
failure • Common procedures include wound vac management and
dressing changes • Administer fluids, blood, and antibiotics •
Perform breathing treatments • Work with PT/OT/SLP therapists on
unit • Operate equipment including Bipap, CPAP, and high flow nasal
cannula • Use EPIC charting system • Complete required education
for all staff during assignment • Charge nurse responsibilities may
include morning huddles and full patient load • 2 cancellations
allowed per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare facility
operates a 15-bed acute rehabilitation unit specializing in
neurological and orthopedic recovery. The facility is a Level 2
trauma center providing post-acute care services with comprehensive
rehabilitation programs. The unit is located in a separate building
and features a small cafeteria with limited food options,
emphasizing specialized care for patients recovering from strokes,
injuries, and surgical procedures. Location: Cheyenne, WY Cheyenne
