Job Description:
UCHealth invites qualified candidates to join our team as an
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) dedicated to providing
high-quality patient care in a state-of-the-art healthcare
environment. In this crucial role, you will collaborate with a
dynamic team of medical professionals to deliver surgical care,
ensuring safety and optimal patient outcomes. Our integrated health
system allows for continuous professional development while
contributing positively to patient recovery and wellbeing within
our advanced surgery units. Prepare operating rooms for surgery,
ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available
and sterile. Assist surgeons during operations by passing
instruments, controlling bleeding, and suturing incisions as
needed. Monitor and assess patients throughout surgical procedures
to manage complications and ensure quality of care. Administer and
record prescribed medications, and observe patients' responses to
treatments. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across the
unit to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and
their families on postoperative care procedures, promoting recovery
and health management at home. In-depth knowledge of surgical
instruments and supplies Expertise in aseptic and sterile
techniques Strong communication skills for effective interaction
with patients, families, and healthcare team members Ability to
respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies Capable of
multitasking in a fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in
the state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
