At UCHealth, we are looking to expand our team with a dedicated Respiratory Care Therapist who will support our mission to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. As a Respiratory Care Therapist, you will play a crucial role in managing and treating patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. At our Colorado-based facilities, you’ll work in a supportive environment where your skills and dedication will make a direct impact on the lives of patients. Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and analyzing blood samples to determine levels of oxygen and other gases. Administer treatments including aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy. Consult with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop and modify individual patient care plans. Monitor and maintain all respiratory care equipment. Educate patients and families about lung health and diseases, treatment plans, and ongoing care and maintenance. In-depth knowledge of respiratory care equipment and procedures Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and treat patients Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and medical staff Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Colorado BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
