The Role This role will administer the Lumen Storefront production and non-production environments. Storefront is based on IBM Cloud Pak software suite, IBM Cloud Pak for database and Watson Technologies. This person will install software, perform upgrades, performance tuning, user administration, security, backup/restore, and best practices recommendations. The Main Responsibilities --- Software upgrades and configuration for IBM Cloud Pak --- On-call support for the Cloud Pak suite --- Kubernetes cluster configuration --- performance tuning --- Security configuration --- Backup and restore --- VM and physical server administration knowledge --- tuning of the Cloud Pak suite --- Collaborate with IT and business users --- Redhat Linux experience What We Look For in a Candidate Required --- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience --- 6+ years professional experience --- 2+ years IBM Cloud Pak installation, configuration, operation --- 2+ years Kubernetes cluster or similar cluster experience --- 2+ years relational database skills --- 4+ years of Linux experience --- 4+ years of IT administration/development/programming/coding professional work --- Shell scripting --- Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented --- API experience --- Experience operating, designing, and building large scale, production grade, systems --- Experience in a Hybrid Multi Cloud (Private and Azure, GCP, or AWS public cloud) --- Good oral and written communication skills to interact with various teams Preferred --- NoSQL Database experience --- Confluent Kafka --- DataStax Cassandra --- DevOps What to Expect Next Requisition #: 327202 When applying for a position, you may be subject to a background screen (criminal records check, motor vehicle report, and/or drug screen), depending on the requirements for the position. Salary Range Salary Min : 85230 Salary Max : 189360 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
