Job Description:
UCHealth invites qualified candidates to apply for the position
of Surgical Technologist III Certified. As an integral part of our
surgical team at our Colorado-based, nonprofit healthcare system,
you will work in a supportive environment known for its
patient-centered care and advanced medical procedures. UCHealth is
committed to providing exceptional treatment through our multiple
hospitals and outpatient facilities. In this role, the successful
candidate will ensure that all surgical equipment is functional and
sterile, assist during surgical procedures under the direction of
surgeons and registered nurses, and adhere to strict compliance
with safety and health regulations. Prepare and organize sterile
equipment and ensure it is functional before operations. Assist
surgical teams in setting up operating rooms. Provide technical
support to surgeons, surgical nurses, and anesthesiologists during
surgical procedures. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic
techniques. Participate in de-briefing and reviewing of the
surgical process and offer insights for improvement. Monitor and
maintain the sterile field during procedures. Assist in the
training and mentoring of less experienced surgical technologists.
Expertise in surgical instruments and supplies management. Strong
knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation
of surgical technology. High proficiency in maintaining a sterile
environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) BLS
Certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
